Council of International Fellowship
The Council of International Fellowship is a private, non profit
voluntary organisation founded in 1960. Its aim is to promote the
exchange of professionals in social work and allied fields.
International Exchange Programmes are cultural, educational and
professional exchange opportunities. Programmes combine practical and
theoretical information about the social and cultural environment of the
host country. During the initial orientation period, the international
group study together. Following this, individual placements are made in
agencies which can provide the kind of experience sought by participants.
The programmes, which generally extend for between four and eight weeks,
depending on country, usually end with an evaluation when the
international group come together again in a final session before
returning home.
